This March, join City Fitness Philly, RUN215, Thrive Training, MYZONE and hundreds of Philadelphians in the second annual #MyCityMoves - a city-wide competition to get our city healthier, fitter, and happier. This year City Fitness is putting $10,000 on the line. All you gotta do is work out to win it...
So what the heck is MyCityMoves?? Here's a quick backstory. Last year, Philadelphia was rated (once again) as one of the unhealthiest cities in America, and City Fitness wasn't having it. They were sick of seeing these headlines and wanted to do something to change our city for good. So they created MyCityMoves, the world's first fitness technology and social media-driven fitness competition. We got an email from the folks at City Fitness to see if we would be interested in participating. (We'll admit, RUN215 is notoriously sheepish when it comes to partnering with organizations outside of our close-knit family. So we were a bit hesitant at first.) However, considering that our mission statement is "Advancing the Positive Culture of Fitness in Philadelphia," we decided that MyCityMoves was something we could definitely get down with... And get down with it we did. Big time...
Together with some of Philly's biggest personalities, (including powerhouse influencers like Fabiana Ferrarini & Connor Barwin) the MyCityMoves competition saw 300+ participants, collectively burning a whopping 3,250,000 calories. Our minds were blown. People's lives were changed. A city was transformed, and that was just the beginning. The competition won our hearts.
This year, RUN215 has joined MyCityMoves as one of their official fitness sponsors, and we couldn't be more excited. What does this mean for RUN215, City Fitness, Philly, and you?? Glad you asked. We've jumped on this campaign to help put together the most badass fitness events this city has ever seen. Period. From "silent disco dance fitness" parties, to skyline workouts, to some of our more well known "night-time" events (hint hint), we'll be bringing the hype throughout the entire competition, and supporting its participants with running-related workouts, mini-challenges, and more to help them crush their fitness goals.
So what are you waiting for? Registration is open until March 6th. Join the movement. Did we mention that City Fitness is giving out $10,000 in cash prizes just for getting fit? Right. We did mention that. I guess that makes this is a #NoBrainer. See you in March!
