Something crazy happened last February. Something epic. Something slightly ridiculous...
We challenged our Philadelphia fitness community to run at least one mile each day throughout the month notoriously known for completely crappy weather. Sleet, hail, rain, snow, and sub-zero temperatures hammered away at these ferocious (and possibly insane) runners. In the end, 509 participants logged 30,398.31 miles (the equivalent to 12 trips from Philly to LA) and burned 3,191,822.55 calories, or about 4,902 large cheese pizzas. To commemorate this epic feat of sporting, we teamed up with Adidas and Philadelphia runner to throw an EPIC commencement party with prizes, brews, and a very special version of #NIGHTSHIFTPHL!
This year, we're looking to double those numbers. That's right. We're doing it again. Crazy? Of course. Necessary? Absolutely not. But when has that stopped us before?
So start prepping yourselves now, Philly Runners, cause the second installment of #RUNSTREAKPHL kicks off NEXT WEDNESDAY, February 1st, and we promise you can expect the same antics (and some added perks), and of course your own commemorative #RUNSTREAKPHL finisher's certificate.
Head on over to the #RUN215CHALLENGE page to register and start logging your miles!
